The Pro 2.5 is currently one of the best large language model out there, and it is now available for free – with no set qoutas or limits on prompts.
On the leaderboard published by Google, Gemini 2.5 Pro leads in math, science, and reasoning-heavy benchmarks, outperforming GPT-4 in GPQA and AIME 2025—and doing so without any test-time augmentation tricks. The Humanity’s Last Exam score of 18.8% (versus GPT-4’s 14%) stands out as a real flex in open-domain reasoning.

Sadly overshadowed launch
Gemini 2.5 Pro was first released to subscribers to Gemini Advanced users on Tuesday, the same day the web went crazy about Studio Ghibly images but now Google Is feeling the burn (and probably competition), saying that:
— We want to get our most intelligent model into more people’s hands asap, on a Twitter post.

«Generous» access
The model is already online at Gemini on the web, and will begin rolling out to the Android and iOS apps «soon,» according to 9to5Google.
As opposed to other free tiers, like on Chatgpt, Gemini 2.5 Pro itself says that there is no set qouta for prompts on the model, even in free mode. It says:
– For typical users, the access is quite generous. You can have many conversations and ask numerous questions without hitting a hard limit.
UPDATE: Gemini now, on June 5, 2025, only offers about three free questions for the free tier on gemini.google.com. Not sure just when the change happened, but free access is now severely restricted.
