Most people have already concluded that Gemini only gives you a handful of queries per day for free, but, until now, Google wouldn’t say precisely how many.
Now it’s official, and on Google’s website.
Max five queries
You get precisely that — 5 queries — to Gemini 2.5 Pro, but «general access» to 2.5 Flash. The context window is also capped at 32K tokens.
Pro users get a hundred prompts and Ultra users get 500 prompts per day with up to a million tokens.
Free users also get up to 5 Deep Research prompts per day with 2.5 Flash, whereas Pro users get 20 with 2.5 Pro and Ultra users get up to 200.
100 images with Nano Banana
Google is way more generous with image generations and the very competent, viral hit Nano Banana (or Imagen 4), though.
Free users get up to 100 images per day, and Pro and Ultra users get 1,000 — so you basically get your fill on the free plan.
Veo 3 is still limited to three 8-second videos per day for the Pro plan, with five for Ultra, with nothing for the free tier.
So that’s the official word from Google — a handful of questions for free, not enough to start a proper conversation or dig into results, but a generous image allocation — so far.
