Anthropic and OpenAI are doubling usage limits until New Year’s

From Christmas Eve til New Years Eve, you can do a lot of extra coding with Claude and Codex.

Anthropic started the party with Claude, offering Pro and Max users twice the usual limits to close out the year:

Then, on December 25, not wanting to be upstaged, OpenAI responded with the same offer for their users.

They are not only doubling usage limits, but are also resetting rate limits for Codex users — while thanking them for all the coding during the year:

For Codex users, to thank you all for the fun we've had over the last months, our first gift is that we have **reset rate limits and are lifting the usage limits to 2X the usual limits until the 1st of Jan**. Wish you all a merry holiday and lots of coding!!
