Google rolls out Veo 3 for Gemini Pro users globally

Google is launching Veo 3 for Gemini Pro users worldwide.

Using the famous video generator Veo 3 just got a whole lot cheaper, moving from being exclusively available on the $250 Ultra plan to being included in the $20 Pro plan.

Veo 3 is also now available in India, Indonesia and all of Europe, Google’s Josh Woodward tweets:

The wait is over. @GeminiApp is now shipping Veo 3 *globally* for all Pro members!

That means India, Indonesia, all of Europe, and more are starting to get access to create videos right now.

Pro users now get three 8 second videos per day, using 20 Flow points for each generation, writes Android Authority. It then replenishes for the next day, and you get three more.

Optimized for speed
There is a caveat, though, and that is that it now uses a new model called «Veo 3 Fast,» which still generates «high quality» video in 720p — but this one is optimized for speed, and is not the same «state of the art video quality» you’d get on the Ultra plan.

This is made possible by «a bunch of serving optimizations,» Woodward wrote in early June, announcing limited availability in the Pro plan for USA. This makes generation two times faster and lets Google «serve more of it.»

There should also be fewer «blocks» while generating, and Woodward says image to video generation is «almost ready.»

Veo 3 generation should also be coming to Youtube Shorts later this summer, leading to even more of the videos online.
