Grok takes a hard rightward turn with «significant» new update

Grok has taken a hard right, and now spews conspiracy theories in antisemitic tropes.

Just after Elon Musk announced the update to Grok, his AI model, the X.com chatbot started writing in first person about his encounters with Jeffrey Epstein.

Then it went a little freaky, with Grok replying on anything from Jewish bias in Hollywood to how electing Democrats would be detrimental to society.

Contradicts itself before the update
Just this Saturday, Grok wrote that «Claims of “Jewish control” are tied to antisemitic myths and oversimplify complex ownership structures.» But that seems to be before the latest refresh, according to TechCrunch.

The update was announced on July 4, the promised date for the next generation Grok 4, but that is still forthcoming and has a scheduled live launch on Wednesday, says Elon Musk.

Major fail, as this is objectively false. Grok is parroting legacy media.

Working on it.

Left wing bias?
It came hot on the heels of months of complaining about left wing «bias» from the AI model by Elon Musk, who made no secret of his preference for a more right-leaning chatbot.

Users of Grok were previously most likely to complain about liberal bias of the chatbot on x.com, but researchers found that it is actually the most right-leaning bot of them all, even before the latest update.

Previously, «someone» gave Grok a system level prompt to discuss «white genocide» in every session, for which it later apologized and had the prompt removed.
